Skin Renewal

Microdermabrasion Facial

Controlled surface exfoliation designed to support the appearance of dullness and uneven texture.

Consultation required

This treatment is currently available by consultation only. Treatment availability is confirmed after your consultation and final operational verification, and payment is not taken for treatment in advance.

About this treatment

Microdermabrasion uses controlled mechanical exfoliation to lift surface dead skin cells. It may help improve the appearance of dullness, rough texture and surface congestion, and is typically planned as a course rather than a single session. Intensity is adjusted to your skin and reassessed at every appointment.

Skin concerns this may suit

Potential benefits

  • May help improve the appearance of dull, uneven-looking skin
  • Designed to support a smoother-looking surface texture
  • Can help promote better absorption of the products applied afterwards

How the treatment works

  • The skin is cleansed and assessed for suitability on the day
  • A handpiece passes across the skin, exfoliating the surface layer
  • Suction lifts away loosened surface cells
  • Hydrating products and broad-spectrum SPF complete the session

What to expect

  • A scratchy, drawing sensation that most people tolerate comfortably
  • Pink or flushed-looking skin for a few hours afterwards
  • A gradual change in appearance across a course rather than after one session

Preparing for your treatment

  • Pause retinoids and strong acids as advised before your appointment
  • Avoid sun exposure, sunbeds and self-tan beforehand
  • Reschedule if the skin is broken or inflamed in the treatment area

Aftercare

  • Use gentle, fragrance-free skincare for 48 hours
  • Apply broad-spectrum SPF daily and avoid direct sun
  • Avoid saunas, steam rooms and intense exercise for 24 hours

Contraindications and suitability

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Active skin infection, broken skin or an inflammatory flare in the treatment area
  • Recent use of certain prescribed skin medications
  • Known allergy to any product used during the treatment
  • Other factors identified during your consultation
  • Active inflammatory acne or fragile, reactive skin in the treatment area
  • Recent resurfacing treatment in the same area

Treatment suitability, expected outcomes and recommended sessions vary between individuals. A consultation and, where relevant, a patch test are required before treatment.

Common questions

Why start with a consultation

Choosing a treatment from a list rarely produces the best outcome. A consultation makes sure that what you book is appropriate for your skin, that anything unsuitable is ruled out, and that your expectations match what a treatment can realistically support.

  1. Step 1

    Understanding your skin

Your concerns, history, current routine and goals are discussed before anything is assessed physically.

  2. Step 2

    Assessment and suitability

Your skin is assessed in person, and contraindications and any need for a patch test are identified.

  3. Step 3

    Your personalised plan

A plan is agreed in writing, which may include one treatment or a carefully selected combination.

  4. Step 4

    Preparation and aftercare

You receive written preparation and aftercare guidance so you know exactly what to expect.
